After more than two decades in the health and wellness industry, Modere has officially announced its closure. In a heartfelt statement on its website, the company expressed gratitude to its community:
“After 23 wonderful years of serving our cherished community, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors,” the statement read. “We’re incredibly grateful for your support, trust, and loyalty over the years. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or just discovered us recently, thank you for being a part of our story.”
Modere was known for its clean-label health, wellness, and personal care products, distributed through an innovative social retail model. The company had recently launched its Brand Partner Program in the UK, aiming to expand its reach and provide more flexible opportunities for social sellers.
Despite these efforts, Modere faced challenges, including scrutiny over its marketing practices. The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) had recommended that Modere modify or discontinue certain earnings and health-related product performance claims.
The closure marks the end of an era for Modere and its community of customers and social marketers. The company has not provided specific details about the reasons behind the decision or plans for its existing product lines and partnerships.
